Rodrigo has worked in a variety of disciplines and produced actionable insights from economic data, chemical & biological as well as other scientific data, and most recently image and text data. Rodrigo has a strong background in modeling and valuation; mathematics; statistics; and data exploration, modeling, and validation.

Before taking roles in the finance industry and technology consulting, he was head of data science for image analysis and deep learning at United Technologies Aerospace Systems. Where he led a team of machine learning and computer science experts in the design engineering of novel deep learning computer vision algorithms for the detection, classification, and object identification in remotely sensed images. In addition to constructing novel techniques to fuse information from multiple intelligence sources, Rodrigo worked closely with United Technologies Research Centers, collaborating with defense labs, national labs, private industry, and academia in the development of innovative tools and algorithms.
